America's Top Cheerleader Divisional Notes
The following notes pertain to America's Top Cheerleader divisions:
  • 2 Day Event - Day one will be worth 1/3 of the overall score and day 2 will be worth 2/3 of the overall score. Day 2 competition order is the reverse order of Day 1 scores.
  • All competitors must start within the competition area. The competition area will be determined by The American Championships Director. However, generally you will have an area, which is 54' x 42' plus a five-foot buffer around the competition floor.
  • Routines cannot exceed 2 minutes. A formal cheer is not required; however, proper motion techniques must still be demonstrated. The American Championships places no limit on the number of skills performed in the routine.
    (jumps, dance, tumbling, incorporation, etc.).
  • In the Spiritleader divisions, no tumbling skills of any kind are allowed.
  • The age of the competitor as of May 31, 2006 will be the age used for The America's 2007 Top Cheerleader.
  • Skill limitations are based on level guidelines of the USASF
America's Top Dancer Divisional Notes
The following notes pertain to America's Top Dancer divisions:
  • 2 Day Event - Day one will be worth 1/3 of the overall score and day 2 will be worth 2/3 of the overall score. Day 2 competition order is the reverse order of Day 1 scores.
  • All competitors must start within the competition area.
    The competition area will be determined by The American Championships Director. However, generally you will have an area, which is 54' x 42' plus a five-foot buffer around the competition floor.
  • Dance routines cannot exceed 2 minutes.
  • The age of the competitor as of May 31, 2006 will be the age used for The America's 2007 Top Dancer.
  • Jazz - routine incorporates stylized dance movements and combinations, formation changes, group work, leaps and turns. Emphasis is placed on proper technical execution, extension, control, body placement and team uniformity.
  • Lyrical - routines combine the principles of jazz and ballet and emphasize the use of flexibility, balance and mood.
    Routines are fluid in movement and focus on emotion that compliments the musical selection.
  • Hip-Hop - Routines emphasize the street style movements with an emphasis on execution, style, creativity, body isolations and control, rhythm, uniformity and musical interpretation. Teams may also put an additional focus on athletic incorporations such as jumps, jump variations, combo jumps and other tricks.
America's Top Stunt Group Divisional Notes
  • 2 Day Event - Day one will be worth 1/3 of the overall score and day 2 will be worth 2/3 of the overall score. Day 2 competition order is the reverse order of Day 1 scores.
  • Stunt Group routines cannot exceed 1 minute 15 seconds. All Music. Only stunt skills will be judged in this competition, other elements will not receive score.
  • The age of the competitor as of May 31, 2006 will be the age used for The America's 2007 Top Stunt Group.
  • Skill limitations are based on the level guidelines of USASF.
America's Top Partner Stunt Divisional Notes
  • 2 Day Event - Day one will be worth 1/3 of the overall score and day 2 will be worth 2/3 of the overall score. Day 2 competition order is the reverse order of Day 1 scores.
  • Partner Stunt routines cannot exceed 1 minute 15 seconds. All music. Only stunt skills will be judged in this competition, other elements will not receive score. In the interest of safety, partner stunt competitors must provide their own qualified spotter.
  • The age of the competitor as of May 31, 2006 will be the age used for The America's 2007 Top Partner Stunt.
  • Skill limitations are based on the level guidelines of USASF.
America's Top Jumper Divisional Notes
  • Tournament is double-elimination format. Every jumper will compete in at least rounds.
  • The age of the competitor as of May 31, 2006 will be the age used for The America's 2007 Top Jumper.
  • Must execute 3 different single jumps as well as a 3-jump combination. NO TUMBLING!
America's Top Tumbler Divisional Notes
  • Tournament is double-elimination format.
    Every tumbler will compete in at least 2 rounds.
  • All competitors must start within the competition area. The competition area will be determined by the American Championships Director. Generally you will have a 70' x 12' spring tumbling floor for your passes.
  • During a competition round, tumblers will have 2 attempts to complete their best pass. Score will be received for the better of the 2 passes. Tumbler has the option to not attempt a second pass.
  • 2-way passes are allowed (Reverse direction - 'down & back' – no 3-way or more passes allowed).2nd pass must originate in continuum of first. No steps are allowed into the round-off of the reverse pass (i.e: power hurdle is acceptable).
  • The age of the competitor as of May 31, 2006 will be the age used for The America's 2007 Top Tumbler.
